This pretty little piece is very pattern-based, which makes it suitable for rote teaching or reading. The lovely melody encourages wrist circles and phrase shaping. "Starlight" is also a perfect interval study as it explores 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, and 6ths.
Suggested fingering and dynamics are included in the score. Pedal is optional based on the student's skill level. When using the damper pedal, change the pedal each time the bass note changes.
