Fruit Rhythms (rote exercises)

These rote exercises help students to feel the steady beat and the basic subdivisions of the beat. They can also be used to teach arm weight, relaxed wrist, and proper finger shape. Once the fruit rhythms are learned and memorized, they can be used in pieces and improvisations to aid with rhythm and grouping.

This PDF includes the six exercises, a teacher duet, instructions, additional activities, and six fruit cut-out cards. The cards can be cut out, colored, and laminated.
