This spirited little etude is in a simple AABA form and highlights the scale, arpeggio, and I and V7 chords in the key of F major. The scale is mainly executed by the right hand (to ground the 1234-1234 fingering), while the arpeggio is given to the left hand. Both hands perform the I and V7 chords as well as various dynamics and articulations. This etude can also be found in Three Etudes for Piano, Practical Lessons for Piano - Book 1 and in Solo Pieces for Piano by Jared Metzger Abel.
